Taking Over Rapid City
All of the official FreedomFest hotels are within a 5-mile radius of downtown Rapid City, where FreedomFest will take place. You can see a map of all our hotels and conference venues at the bottom of this page.
For attendees driving or renting a car, there is plenty of free parking at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. We recommend making your car reservations as soon as possible.
For attendees who will not have a car, we will provide shuttle bus service between the civic center and hotels using three different routes: the Independence Loop, Liberty Loop, and Freedom Loop. Many of our hotels also offer free shuttles into downtown and to the airport. Not to mention Uber, Lyft, and taxis. All of our hotels are a 10-minute drive (or less!) from the civic center. You will be able to get to the conference from any of the hotels we offer!

The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is located 1.5 miles from downtown Rapid City, and will be on the Freedom Loop of FreedomFest’s shuttle system. All rooms are air-conditioned and private bathrooms are available. Includes access to Surbeck rec room, with pool tables, ping pong, and foosball. One linen bundle per person is included for the duration of your stay (sheets, towel set, lightweight blanket, pillow). Alcohol, tobacco, vaping & drugs are not permitted on campus. Minors must be supervised by an adult while on campus.
You must be registered as a student to stay at the dorms. Submit an online request form.

With easy access from I-90, this KOA is in Rapid City, the gateway community to the Black Hills. Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park and Deadwood are within an hour’s drive.
